Uvita is known for its excellent deep-sea fishing, which remains good all year round, making it one of the best fishing destinations in Costa Rica. Offshore fishing is done from 20 to 40 miles offshore in deep water, where guests will find fish, such as Mackerel, Snapper, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Black Tuna, Sailfish, and Marlin. Guests can take home all species except Marlin and Sailfish, which must be released.

Expectations

Guests will arrive at our property for check-in, and then our staff will guide them to the parking area to leave their car at the main entrance of Parque Nacional Marina Ballena. From the park entrance, there is a short hike of approximately 5 minutes to the beach, where guests will board the tour boat from the beach. The tour boat will travel about 20 to 40 miles to sea, the best place to catch big game.

Safety

This adventure tour requires guests to be in good health and physical condition. This tour requires a short hike and being able to board a moving vessel from the beach. It is not recommended for people who are pregnant or have physical limitations. Due to the potentially jarring nature of a boat ride, it is not recommended for people with back or neck problems.
